How do I get to Mt Robson Pit?
Directions to Mt Robson Pit: The “pit” is accessed from Highway 16 eastbound, via a right-hand turnoff 1.2 km from the Mt. Robson Infocentre. A good reference is that the turnoff is 200 Meters before the Overlander Falls parking lot when travelling east on Highway 16. After turning in, proceed down a short gravel road to the clearing. If the entry gate is locked, please wait, as we may have been delayed. Please be at Mt Robson Pit no later than 8:15 AM to allow us time for the shuttle. Please note if you are later than 15 minutes and delay start of the flights, or we have to incur an additional flight for less than 3 people you will be charged for the cost of the flight. What is your cancellation policy?
7 day cancellation policy applies. Less than this is subject to a 25% cancellation fee per person.
No charge for cancellations due to bad weather. Usually waiting an hour or two allows conditions to change. No postponing flights to next day. If you are planning on flying in and out due to physical restrictions please be aware that we cannot guarantee your return flight out if the weather is problematic. We strongly recommend you have sufficient supplies for a few days longer then anticipated.
How do I get my vehicle to the trail head?
We have a free shuttle van here at Robson Helimagic. All you need to do is show up at 8:15am at Mt Robson Pit. We will assist you in vehicle shuttling to the trail head.
How long does the flight to Robson Pass Take?
This is arguably most scenic flight anywhere in the world! The flight time is approx. 10minutes in length.

If I want a pickup at Robson Pass and the weather is bad what happens?
If the weather is poor on the day of your 9:00am flight, we will continue to attempt pickup until 12:00 noon. After this we will not attempt anymore flights and you will be required to hike out yourself. The reason for this is that we need to leave sufficient time for you to hike out as a flight cannot be guaranteed.
When does Robson Helimagic fly?
Due to the nature of our Park Permits we only fly Monday and Friday mornings into Robson Park. If it is a B.C holiday or long weekend we will move the flight date to the following Tuesday.
If I get picked up at Robson Pass how do I get to the trail head and my car?
Once we have flown you down from Robson Pass you will be driven to your car using our Robson Helimagic van. This service is free to all our customers.
How do I get a camping Permit?
Unfortunately Robson Helimagic is not involved in selling camping permits. They can be acquired at: Robson Trail Camping Permits
I’m just day hiking, do I need a camping permit?
You do not require any camping permit if you are just day hiking.
What type of helicopters do you use?
Our Helicopters are Bell Jetrangers and Longrangers, helicopters suitable for 4 to 6 passengers are used for our summer tours and hiking. All Bell helicopters in the fleet are meticulously maintained aircraft for the optimum in safety for our guests.
